"I bought your book after a friend suggested it to me. I contacted her to see what she did to potty train her daughter. We started potty training the same day. After one week her daughter was trained. Mine, well you might as well say we made zero progress. I was frustrated to say the least. My daughter is only 24 months, but I was convinced she was ready. I was starting to doubt. My friend told me that your book was her secret. I am sooooo glad she told me about it. We are on day 3. It is 2:00 in the afternoon and so far no accidents. On day 2 we only had one accident and she even went poopie on the potty first thing in the morning. I will say that day 1 was challenging. I cleaned up a lot of pee that day. She even peed on me when I was holding her. But we stuck with it and I made her do the drills. I tried to make cleaning it up as grueling as possible, but to her it was fun. What seemed to work for us was making her take a shower rather than a bath. She pretty much hates the shower. Sounds mean, but it must have worked. My daughter seemed to really like her diapers. Whenever she needed changed, she would grab a diaper out of her box and bring it to me. So one of the things I did on day 1 was show her the empty diaper box and explained to her that her diapers were all gone. We put her little underpants in the diaper box that day. Also, I didn't even have to buy toys and other rewards for her. Watching old Care Bear episodes on Youtube worked like a charm! I expect that she will still have accidents here and there, but I can't believe how well this program has worked so far. Thank you so much!
